Re-directing tax funds to "affordable housing" is a very nebulous concept, short on specifics, and likely to not move the needle.

I think you're right to the concept above not being a great concept.

The 30 year fixed rate loan would be a better fit for this purpose.You might be able to think of some other scenarios but hopefully this concept is good enough to know the difference between the two. 

We figure that this will allow us to take a step in the right direction of our future property goals, bring in a side income that could be used towards rent or another mortgage, and perhaps be a property we can move into in another 5-8 years when we figure out how to transition our careers to the Prince Edward County area.

Timing matters more than knowledge.Serious, how hard is it to understand down payment, mortgage, buy a house , rent it out.You're right, the general concepts are pretty easy to get but the devil's in the details.

It's hilarious to me how many people judge the concept of social media influencer as if their career is any better. 

It's in the heart of a tourist destination with highly coveted dining/retail brands that are NOT in co-tenancy with the theatre and are doing quite well.Thanks to current conventional wisdom with regards to theatres, I feel I'm in a unique position where I have the chance to come up with a creative utilization concept that may lead the way for the thousands of exhibition screens currently sitting idle or way below break even utilization.Bottom line, much smarter people than me on this forum and would love to hear ideas, crazy or otherwise.
