I was tempted by the tantalizingly low opening bid prices... but in looking at some of their sold prices I wondered if one was getting anything more than one would get just going through the MLS or an agent.

Now that I've cleared up the violations, I'm wondering if I should cash in and pay off the renovation debt and buy another place.My architect is recommending me to convert it back to a single family home which will increase the property value significantly (due to comps... there are no rental comps in the area, just sfh comps). 

That said, as a first timer, I'm wondering what's the first step I should take in acquiring the deal.

I wonder if this law applies to a new owner who intends to occupy one of the units while rehabbing the other (house hacking).Any comments are much appreciated.Mike Evans

I am wondering if it would be cheaper long term to have it converted to a normal roof or if a typical flat roof replacement would be better.

The family is wonderful, I have never had an issue.M issue though is with the program.
