With that being said you should take full advantage of all of the benefits that being a KW agent affords you; unlimited training, a decent CRM, support of an interested broker, profit sharing, Agent Leadership Councils,  the list goes on, but I don't want to get off topic.

He doesn't sound terribly high risk to me - he has had his own business for several years, money in the bank, no bad credit, no criminal issues, is willing to provide 2x deposit, and has family in the area that is willing to help support him, and take him in if things go awry.
