I was told by the city employee that even if I got a permit for the property, only the owner can live in it.  

In the works of getting permits etc.. to build a 8 unit apartment complex on raw land in Georgia… they just recently rezoned the land as agricultural use only.

Re; liability "if you built it, your liable", better to build right with comprehensive permits, insurance & warranty.

Just have insurance, perhaps also an umbrella policy, and be a good landlord and keep your property in good repair.The llc issue is posted almost everyday.
