Some of the adjustable products, the payment stays the same, but the principal to interest allocation changes to the point where people are only paying interest and are now in a negative amortization where the amount they owe is actually going up.

I would start by getting a look at what you're working with - paying for an inspector to visit isn't a bad idea, but depending on how much hoarding was done, it may be wise to remove some of the junk items first so they can give you a more accurate report.

From my experience, it seems that's why it's hard to find dependable cleaning & property management for STRs because it's a higher volume of turnover of guests, and property owners can only pay so much for management/cleaning.
