I learned of Bigger Pockets in late December of last year and since then have put some serious time in bringing myself up to speed.

There are different speeds of courses to accommodate different life stages, but if I remember correctly, there isn't an option any faster than 4-5 weeks from start to finish.

You can listen to them at 1.5x speed on the way to work etc.

Speeding up the process serves the bank and the agent, and there's nothing wrong with either of those things happening, it's part of the business, but to discourage you because of the time element?

It's a speed networking meeting which is one of my personal favorites, you get introduced to a ton of people in a hour.

Speed is the name of the game in this market. 

Reading and watching video's from this site to get me up to speed, willing to network, and maybe partner up with someone local.

My commute is about 45 minutes so if I do Speed 1.5 and skip through the intro I get one done a day.

I do read through contracts and my local-agent already knows what to put in for things like my contingencies to speed up the process.
