I work in Commercial remodel field, around construction all day, have managed hundreds of employees at a time and managing the subs of my own home build does not scare me at all.

While today, the construction company told me to either accept a $42000 increase on top of the contract price, or get off.

We went 50/50 (both in terms of capital and sweat equity) and committed to taking sabbaticals from work to manage the construction ourselves.

I was wondering if anyone had any good construction contacts who can help me get them resolved.

It looks like if that's the case, investors might as well cover the construction costs and not go thru the hassle of a draw.

You could also check permit activity and see who is pulling a lot of new construction permits....
