I was just at a capital raising event in New York City pitching miami and columbus. by far there is more interest in miami for development, land entitlement, etc. you also aren't local so I'd discount what you say by like 80%. even if you are looking at "condo" investments, that's about the poorest way to invest in real estate so I'd say just you looking at that says something about your experience level. 

And yes, his was the only unit we did not raise rent on because his is the only unit that hasn’t been updated AT ALL since the building’s construction in 1982.

I’ve read and researched so much on STR startup and mgmt at this point,  but looking for some real world experience before we make a decision.   

How many collective years of experience does their leadership team have? 

Tenant was in a MTM lease and would like to stay, but the seller provided a very bad review and had several issues to report about their experience with the tenant.Would appreciate any help on how to legally remove the tenant, along with tips to consider throughout the process.

Hi @Josh TerranovaI‘be had section 8 tenants in Jackson for the past 7 years and have had a positive experience.

Once you have managing it down and you've got some experience then you may want to consider making it section 8 eligible.I imagine you're going to get lots of responses telling you to avoid section 8 all together.

Any experience or ideas?

Since this was out of my experience I hired a "Structural Engineer" to replace all of the rotted out studs, reframe the wall, and a few other things.

Look for advice from those who have done it or join a group to learn from those with a lot of experience.
