A flooring expert was called and we have been drying the kitchen and the basement since couple of days using industrial dehumidifiers and fans.

Being forced to work 12+ hours on Christmas (I was previously in the public safety industry) made me do some quick math and realize how few of these Holidays I may have left with my kids. 

I think it's about R-4 so maybe three layers.On a gas unit keep the bottom combustion air inlets open and do not block the draft hood openings on the top.For myself I would probably glue on 1" sheet Rubatex insulation and make a nice industrial-looking job out of it.

@Dan Sieg  Not to be to Harsh but its this type of activity that really gives the industry a black eye.. you have someone ( you) with no means to close running around trying to tie up properties with the hope of finding a buyer.. you insinuate   one thing but can't back it up. 

For example you haven't bought 3 industrial properties in the past and are now buying retail??
