Yep, those darn "Village" taxes will get ya! 

I use Sifely for all of my STR and even put them on my own home, they’re cheaper than other brands because they’re “newer” but they have 5 entry options (finger print, key, phone, fobs, code) and can lock unlock remotely, I couldn’t find that in another lock that was under a certain price point if even then, also timed codes ect up to 250 and can change codes remotely, plus auto locks itself from 5-30 seconds after Only con is they don’t integrate with airbnb vrbo yet but I just recently got an email from them that it’s upcoming!

They own a 3/2, two story, two car garage with pool just before the Village Center on the uphill side from the Bay.

Is there a way to move some of these things to auto pilot? 

There are areas that I recommend in the Columbus market that I personally invest in like Old North, Old Town East/King Lincoln Bronze Ville, Merion Village, Driving Park, North Linden, Hungarian Village, Bexley, and North Hilltop.

This is where you can buy and flip (i.e, West Village, Jefferson Conner, East English Village, Milwaukee Junction, Northend) Having a realistic renovation budget allows you to hire a project manager which in turn makes finding a "good contractor" or "contractors" easier since this will be a local person (Like our company) who has access to hundreds of skilled tradespeople and understands the neighborhoods (each one), the various housing agencies, city government and how to approach a project in a specific community.

@Eric SyCip there are guests who like being walkable or a short drive to the downtown/heart of the village, and that usually goes hand-in-hand with a more affordable rate per night.
