You are clearly ahead of where I was with that since you are on Bigger Pockets and I didn't know a thing about this site or local REIAs or how to buy property other than paying retail for it.

My long term goal would be to replace my and my wife's incomes over the next 20 years.Right now, I am using Bigger Pockets to learn all that I can and possibly find some of the meet-up groups in the Dallas area.

Came across a house and from First looks I don't think there's much of a deal but I wanted to put it on Bigger Pockets to see if maybe there's something outside the box I could think of.Found a house near my area thats going for $80,000.

Could offer slightly more for seller to pay closing costs, which will be less money out of your pocket up front.

Right now, I am using Bigger Pockets to learn all that I can and possibly find some of the meet-up groups in the New York / Connecticut Area.
