The biggest employer is HEB w/20K employees (groceries...people got to eat) and HEB rules in central TX and keeps getting stronger); USAA is a large nationwide financial services business HQ'd in SA, medical is another area growing.

There is one suggestion I have about using your 401k, without penalty by converting it to a self directed 401k,  then it can invest into your rentals and you can grow your 401k with payments back out of the rentals.

Without looking I had already met and put together not just resources but business associates - people that not only help me to continue learning and growing but genuinely have an interest in my business.Going through the process of finding lenders I found some select lenders that provided (HELOC) or can provide the essentials of what I can rely on when it comes to acquiring my next loan.In hind sight it seemed relatively easy.
