Catastrophic inflation scenario
13 August 2021 | 4 replies
Keep your leases to 1 year or less and you will be fine, especially if you have fixed rate debt.Real estate (with debt) is a great inflation hedge. Thanks for your good advice.Unfortunately inflation skyroketting during political upheavls is not unusual.I nearly escaped one when people savings evaporated overnight.People in the USA have not experienced this recently and seem to not do anything about what is going on.I would not discount this scenario only because I have seen the "undemocratic and violent ways" when the ship goes down.

And for current tenants whose lease does not contain such a clause, can I just demand that they add to their security deposit at some point?
