Remember, in all of these markets, the top apartment brokers (you find them on Loopnet) are all saturated with buyers, so getting them to pay attention to you (esp. if you are from out of state) is difficult.

Of course there's some things that have no value for the buyer - legacy, tradition, advertising, labor costs, mystique, whatever - but there's also things that do have value for the buyer, like tighter engineering tolerances, greater attention to NVH, higher quality components, etc.
