Which is safer for long distance apt ownership

In residential sales, there is too much emotion, too much "feel good" involved, and the agents get used to using that, and telling you what you want to hear, rather than the plain facts, and they carry this over to the PM side.

Advice on a property dispute.

Adding that piece of land to our own would bring our property into better alignment with zoning rules, provide some outside storage that we don't have otherwise, and also correct a historical error- anyone looking at our property can plainly see that the barn is supposed to go with the house.Since they have been unwilling to sell to some friendly neighbors, I'm trying to find a way to get the land that I want through her sale.

@Steve Vaughn.....you're house languished on MLS and didn't sell for months on end because it was overpriced....plain and simple.Any house will sell if it's priced right to start with. Most times it's not the agent's fault.

Why I love being a Passive Investor in Syndications (30% IRR!!)
26 September 2023 | 113 replies
Let's talk about the 'upcoming economy transition'.Right now, investing in private placement syndications makes even more sense than ever. 1/3 of the dollars every created were willed into existence over the last 1.5 years, and with the cervesa sickness policies enacted, this is driving the dream of homeownership more and more unaffordable. We are going to see record rental demand going forward with huge housing unit shortages in many markets. Both passive investment in syndications and buying SFHs can fit this role, but owning rentals suffers from all the issues I outlined in my first posts.I'm usually funding 4-6 deals a year, and even with this cash position in portfolio is getting uncomfortably high.

What is Bad Debt?
6 February 2015 | 50 replies
NO....while I prefer to live entirely debt-free, I can see where investing in education *might* be "good debt", and also where if someone went into debt due to major medical bills, that would also be undesirable, but better than being sick...or worse.
