Perhaps the best way you can help her is to review her personal and business finances and help her determine what it would take for her to qualify on her own.Furthermore, if you make such an offer and she refuses because she doesn't want you "all up in her business," that should tip you off that she's not really looking for help here.

There was an unexpected obstacle in the foundation work and some weather issues which caused some warranted delays, but the rest were due to the contractor's constant missing of deadlines set, their disregard of this project in that it's probably a tiny one compared to the others they're working on, and the back and forth with they city to revise plans and inspections.

If you couldn't burn that money without significant negative financial consequences for your family's lifestyle, you're undercapitalized for this kind of investing.well I might not be as blunt.. but if the OP is asking these type of questions then I think they are a long way from be able to have success at a sheriffs auction.. those auctions are highly competitive and very difficult to break into.. not to mention inherent risk factors that dictate someone trying this should have years of experience in all facets of the industry before participating..
