@Steevee Reroma good call on the Roth IRA - you always have the option of pulling out what you contribute without early withdrawal penalties other retirement accounts have.

All of my LLC's income is via rental properties (not flips) so my guess is that I may be unable to pursue this strategy.If I have contributed $18,000 via my day job's 401k, am I still able to contribute to another 401k or is that 18k net of all accounts.

Having to come up with 25% down I was able to do myself but be ready for 10-12k of closing costs which because she was on the loan, she was able to contribute.

Just be sure to keep great track of any monetary contributions you're making to the accounts as well so you know where the funding is coming from.
