You can't reject someone because they are on section 8.However as others have pointed out the fact that they are on section 8 could easily mean they will fail to meet some other basic criteria that you have like an income requirement or credit score.

Any time that your credit is pulled, your score will be impacted.

I've been reading another forum and they recommend charging twice the security deposit if the FICO score(s) is below 600.

I use this, with other things in to consideration, scores: 700 & above: one month depo, 700-650:1.5 month, less than 650: 2 mo deposit. though score is just one measure, i also see their credit payments, if they are late on everything, i wouldn't take them though they make good salary.
