lots of folks have summer places there and also rent them out short term. 

It really depends what you want the units for (to live in, sell, rent out, etc. and what your timeframe is).

Now, pair this strategy with the concept of house hacking, where you live in the property and rent out rooms to cover your mortgage expenses.

I live in one and rent the other for $400 cash flow.

My property (currently I am  residing here in WI but also want to rent) is being possibly rezoned from residential to Commercial/Mixed Use and I just discovered this information.
