Elliot, you can get the exact amount charged for 2016 Taxes from Mecklenburg county website, probably less than your estimated $2k but you can get the exact dollar amount as it's public information.  

@Tandi Hufnagel Unless you have a time machine that will transport you back to 2012, Arizona and Nevada prices have gotten to high to cash flow well.
