No difference from gambling in the "Wall Street Casino".By me, appreciation is o.k., but cash flow (income) is what I need to carry me into my retirement years (I'm 60).May I get your thoughts on those statements?

I usually stay away from the political threads as I just don't enjoy them but I will have to say this:I agree with Tim on this notion - Worrying about something you have no control over is futile.

It all depends on what your tastes are and what you enjoy.

I have an accounting job that I enjoy and do not have an accounting degree.

I host a local Meet-up Group in New Jersey, I am an active advocate of learning more about RE investing, and I enjoy being a real estate investor.  

I really enjoy reading you guy’s feedback.

Having said that, I have to admit I enjoy renting SFRs as I haven't had any headache.

I think we might both agree that the definition of "labor of love" means "work done for the sake of one's own enjoyment or the benefit for others, and not material reward".

She and good managers like her who run their own, small shops enjoy being close by the properties so that when pipes freeze (like they have been ALL OVER NC this week, or when a hail storm comes thru and u have insurance claims in ALL your roofs in one town - yes, true story!)

I have always enjoyed the in and outs of real estate investing and more and would like to dwell deeper into it.
