In my experience as a property manager, I can tell you that any time we need to act on an owner's behalf with an outside agency (utilities, city inspection offices, housing authorities, attorneys), we need to show proof that we have been authorized to act on behalf of the owner that is named on the tax record.

Different banks equals different loan officers means different thing can be done.

To make matters more confusing, my county's assessors office, Cook County, stated that the building was a 4 unit.

I live in a tri-level home with the modem on the bottom floor and my wife's office is in the far corner on the main floor and my office is on the top floor on the opposite side of the house from my wife's office.

We also have team meetings every Monday Morning at our downtown office.

You could also try title companies, trying to be on an escrow officers team.
