So, I bought a piece of land that I planned to build a new home on for me and my family.

I live in a luxury building in Manhattan.

Not finding anything that really worked for us, I resorted to building our own bespoke solution.

buy a used coin op laundry machine and a used quarter exchange machine. you could get both for under 2k Washer/Dryer and exchanger.as far as servicing, anyone who can swap out a light fixture could maintain the entire unit with a little youtubing.I find more issues with card systems, esp if they are in the basement of a building, wifi, and card reading tend to be the most common. 

They were not able to get the licenses in order to rent the others.If you already own the building, I would look at the longer term short term stay.

It seems to me that you're looking for a building where you will have zero risk since you are comparing the buildings you've reviewed thus far to new construction. 

Purchase Price - $100,000 (land - 20%, building - 80%) So, the building value is $80,000.
