Forrest - Not sure what transpired on this loan, or if it did even transpire, but I would give two pieces of advice here regarding DSCR lending, one of which specifically for STRs:1.

Obviously, you must find an insurance agent who communicates well and can explain terms and policies in plain English.You weren’t specific with your question but there are two types of insurance you need, Title Insurance and Property Insurance.For Title Insurance we require a lender's title insurance policy for 125% of the loan amount, a 2006 ALTA policy or 2021 if available, and various endorsements.

I know @Sean O'Keefe was active in real estate in that area and knows specifics for Nevada and CA.

Be advised that these loans require a minimum of 15% to 30% down.

Hi @Daniel Seo, I am originally from Washington and have family in Tacoma greater area, specifically American lake area. 

There is really no IRS private letter ruling specific to DST (or at least it is never mentioned as such) as far as I can tell, despite some advertising to the contrary.

Austin,TriciaRae and Mindy both gave good advise. 

Any specific neighborhoods or sub-markets to focus on?
