We are looking to start with a student rental in our college town because we have a lot of connections to fill the property consistently and gain experience in the process before scaling our portfolio. 

He also stated he was out of town on business and had other homes for sell as well.

So i have a unit that i rent out to an town government department that takes care of disabled residents.

I'm in a small town of 9,500 and my office is a converted residential home just one block from main street and zoned commercial.

Have you found any great towns worth looking into yet?

We're prepared from a financing perspective but I'm hoping to learn more about the process of actually finding and closing on the right investment property in the Charlotte market, specifically:1) Recommendations for Charlotte REI networking groups - I've seen a few mentioned in different threads here but they appear event-specific from this past month2) Ideas on approaching the property search - Are there local RE agents / firms that specialize in REI properties around town?

@Joseph Sawoszczyk they just so happen to be out of town.

@Dylan BergumNobody drives 30 miles out of town to a coworking space.

Population is pretty low compared to the rest of the state, and most of the properties in the town are single families as well.

I give them the wrong advice. 12 months later they are out of the STR business in my town.
