I’m working a lot right now, but after the holidays I’d love to bounce ideas off of other future income property owners. 

Banks, rent collection agencies are closed on holidays, and weekends or and sometimes, they make mistakes. 

Would you be ok with Holiday Inn buying your neighbor's house & tearing it down to build a hotel?

It was around the holidays in November  so we expected some delays but gave ourselves  6 weeks to close.

If anyone has experience doing this, particularly in Texas, I'd love to speak with them. 3) The options I de-prioritized, but may look at later are: + Holiday rentals: A good backup if neither of the above work out.

I was just back there over the holiday weekend.  

Check which owners use around you because often depending where the usual guests are coming from certain days are better for them to begin their holiday.

Those of you in large cities like NY, SF or LA: are you successfully billing a higher rate for high season (summer & holidays) or not?

They get out there and they mow their lawns, they have the brick repointed when the mortar wears out, they get guys up on their roofs to replace their shingle, they get on the municipality to redo the sidewalks, and they resolutely hang out their decorations for Halloween and Christmas every year (look for dedicated efforts block-by-block during the holidays).

I've found that people can turn around for you as longs you stay calm, relaxed, honest, and explain everything clearly to them.
