I’ve been reading a lot about business books, negotiation books and I seemed to had an analysis paralysis because I felt very stuck even though I am learning and preparing.

I’m curious what should I focus on learning about?

Long time listener to Afford Anything and Stacking Benjamins, heard about Bigger Pockets from there and have been having trouble getting off my butt and finally doing the things, so hoping to start in the direction of finding a mentor and actually learning this stuff.Glad to be here!

I'm Lalo, I just moved to Astoria from UES and for the past 2 years I've been learning about real estate.

@Brittany Rogerson these are great questions, my wife and I did this a couple years ago so here are some thoughts, questions or considerations which we learned through the process.- Are you planning on continuing to buyer more rental properties, and will your single income, plus rental income, etc. support you 5 year goals? 

We are also open to hearing and learning some other different strategies as well.

I'm hoping to learn from this forum like I have learned from the bigger pocket podcast. 

You really need to spend a lot of time learning the area first and building a quality team.  

But, yes, there are times when those methods do help to support the valuation of a complex assignment.And a VERY IMPORTANT CONCEPT I learned very early on in my training, I (an appraiser) don't tell you what the value is, the Buyer/s (market data) tell me what the value most reasonably should be.
