Greetings BP family, I've been ramping up my wholesale education and knowledge via BP podcast, reading a ton of threads and blogs in the wholesale forum.I'm hoping of find an experienced wholesaler which I may apprentice with.

That's usually because they're experienced investors, but they're not schooled in how to be an educator: presenting information the way we learn it.They're REAL big on generalizations, but they fall flat on the specifics.

Should I be doing this or its better to go via experienced realtors in my area?

If you continue with this option I encourage you to use an attorney experienced in creative financing and ensure that the proper documents are file with the Court in order to protect yourself and to "cloud" the title.  

This is due to the fact we have become more experienced, more stable thus reducing his risk, providing quicker turn around cycles and w now have better assets securing the funds.  

I have a goal of investing in 5 rental properties over the next 3-5 years.I plan on spending a lot of time on Bigger Pockets and soaking up all I can from more experienced members.

Hi @Jon Rylander,Are you experienced and/or fully educated on landlording with section 8 tenants?  

I am willing to do all the work if an experienced investor in Houston is willing to take me through the steps of closing my first deal.  

I am going to try the NTAREI this week in hopes of meeting some seasoned investors to talk with (I have heard from some research that it does draw a more experienced group, partly because it is not free).

I am an experienced  realtor in the east bay interested to work with real estate investors.
