Inspection reports are expected to note a bunch of irrelevant items, so the inspector looks like they are doing a thorough job to their client. 

Is there a certain type of inspector I should reach out to?

Because I’m not the best sales person I think I’ll be more successful as a home inspector but the perks of getting pre-market deals as a real estate agent seems more helpful long term.

Being a person that lives off the 15 in Scripps/Poway, it is easy to be envy the entertainment, shopping, dining and access to public transportation. 5 or 10 years I won’t have thought that.I’ve heard that mall renovations, trolley construction and the apartment construction has created noise, soot and dust.

Have a QUALITY inspector lined up to check out the property when you get it under contract.4.

I had a home inspector point out several cracks on the outside of the house, with a few cracks inside.

I have about 30 years of construction management experience and I had a license in real estate brokerage  in Texas for about 30 years too. 

If you want to do anything beyond that list, pull the permit and keep it when you are done with construction.

Perhaps a nice 1950's built bungalow.Always hire a 3rd party property inspector to give you an unbiased feel for the home.
