The repair cost is low because water was off until after we turned on heat, so it didn't cause too much of water damage.

Once you know the cause of the leak, you can address it: be it a new roof, or getting some roof vents installed/repaired, cleaning gutters, or removing access insulation that blocks airflow from your attic...if there is mold - call a company that will take care of it.

Don't do anything that could cause you more problems in the future.
