Seems like you will be burning roughly 20k a year and anticipated appreciation at 6% is 78k.

. :-) Some people are making the change because you cannot depend on your employer to "take care of you" until retirement any longer and some people just are burned out and want to make a change.

And while that might be true on paper, I think sometimes it takes burning the ships to achieve the goal.  

He spews advice like cash is thrash, college is a waste, 401k is like burning money, buying your own home is a cardinal sin etc and in every message all he is asking is to take your money and invest in his syndicate.

If you don’t calculate it this way, you will likely get burned.  

I once got lost down there and there were big groups of homeless dudes standing around burning barrels like something out of a movie.
