The property is a 3/2 SFR a couple blocks from the beach in Monterey, ca.

The bottom line is, can you have fun dealing with them and even come out ahead.There's a property a block away from my mother in laws place and we used to visit her monthly.

I like to look at their calendar to make sure it's not blocked most of the time or intentionally overpriced (I live here but I'll leave if you pay me enough).

My friend is a property manager and she lives on that block (also owns rentals on that block).

Basement is Granite block.

That has led to some interesting confrontations then again we did sell a duplex with off street parking a block away.

If living in a good area is your primary concern, then buy in the Starland/Thomas Square district (basically 4 blocks left and right of Bull Street, between Forsyth Park and Victory Dr.) 

Do you want to focus on the area as a whole or say 10% of houses in that block have been remodeled and 3% of those are on market do you want to do focus on that 10%?

Being in such a great neighborhood, and a great block made this a no brainer for him to scoop up quickly.
