We are looking at block homes only because of that

I doubt they'd accelerate the due-on-sale clause, but could they somehow ****-block me or insurances all deny me? 

Have to add my agreement that while I love BP the biggest road block for me for more participation is the terrible user experience with the forum software.

A few other things you may want to consider.....Using steel instead of wood or, depending on location, using block.....You may save yourself a boatload of future headache (ie mold/mildew/termites don't harm steel)Building a non-traditional structure.....ie think loft in duplex form.....etcThere are a million ways to skin a cat.  

They will know all the investing lingo, they will have systems built to help you analyze properties, they will have vendors set up to help you go from contract to performance, and they will know what micro market meets your goals.We know the expected returns by block almost.

Maybe that signals a turn, or maybe it's just the usual block-by-block thing that all cities have going on.

@Peter RodriguezA good book for understanding this is Who Not How, and I used H&R block when I did taxes and had just one property and I thought it was fine.

The owner is wanting a little more than what I wanted to pay but I have 28 units within a block of these 6 so it’s extremely hard to pass on considering how convenient these are.

The structures are just your building blocks for your wealth. 

I have an offer accepted on property 2 blocks from the UNC, the property just appraised at $250,000 and the comps around it at $275,000.
