There is around 500k equity in the property. 150k-200k would get the property fully rented at top dollar with desirable tenants. 100k would get it to where I can rent all the units back out at fair reasonable market rents.

our market is in Columbus Ohio and we are currently doing infill as a strategy. single family home by right can be built on any infill lot in columbus but for multifamily this strategy becomes part of entitlements and rezoning.

My problem i is my market is super expensive if I stay in the nyc area and I don’t have the confidence since I don’t have any actual experience to invest out of state do you guys think paying off my mortgage would be more beneficial than looking for more rentals .

@Mark Towey I don't "farm" areas personally, it doesn't really fit the niche I'm personally going after, but what I have heard from some major agents in my market lately is that farming is not near as productive as it used to.
