I am a Active Duty Military Officer and have been interested in real estate investing for about 5 years.

Good morning all, I was just wondering if any of my other military investors on active duty out there have any insight into investing in different states?

I got out of the military a few years back so welcome back to being a civilian.

I would still classify myself as a newbie in the real estate investing world, i have 3 rentals currently, but they all came from my military days as personal owned homes that i kept and turned into rentals, i had 7 rentals at one point, but i sold off the non-performing properties as soon as i could break even on them.

Hello All, I have been off this board for a while, i been out of investing for a little over 2 years for various reasons (career changes, and divorce) and i feel like i am in a good place financially to invest again, so i wanted to get some opinions.4 years ago i got out of the Military and became a Realtor, i worked as a Realtor for a while, but i never really made decent money and worked my butt off, i barely managed 25k/yr, so i decided to make a change to my life and went back to school and now i am a Registered Nurse after going through a fast track education program.

@Caleb Heimsoth initially my goal, being a military veteran was to just jump head first and into rentals and get a 4 unit multi family using my  VA loan to finance it.

I also wanted a city with more than one draw, like a town that's got both a military base and a college or it's known for it's tech and is also the county seat or state capital. 

@Ryan Mattson Yes, I was in the military stationed at Beale AFB, CA and the property I bought was in Marysville.

Hi everyone,I am a newbie currently investing in California San Diego County, I will be investing around this area until my time in the military comes to an end, which is 5 months.

I'm in the military so we will be moving in a few years and we plan to rent or sale it after that.
