Darker colors take at least 2 coats and the cutting in is more of a hassle.

The home has a light color wood grain pergo dining room/ kitchen that butts up to the bathroom, I wanted a darker setting in the bathroom, the tile would look better imo vs a wood grain to a different color wood grain.

And apologies if my last post seemed harsh, I just wanted to try to keep you from avoiding the traps I see other noobs make in only hearing what they want to hear and thinking that the grass is somehow greener on the other side of the fence because they live in an expensive market ... it is plenty green here, it is just a different shade of green.

Let it dry.Then I just lay it out and brush on Polyshades in the shade I am aiming for, usually pretty close to what I have (and you can go darker but lighter not so much).
