My mother who occupies my childhood home is leaving soon due to retirement, she has about 50,000 left on the mortgage.

Our families were close during childhood.

I grew up under the poverty line for many years of my childhood. 

I want to create that month cash flow to give her a break and ensure my kids enjoy their childhood in a different way than myself growing up just outside southeast DC. 

When she moved in, he told her that this was his childhood home, and he was planning to keep it in his family for generations to come.

We live in Los Angeles (earthquakes don't concern my wife as much as real estate) and investing in real estate in this area is very difficult for a beginning investor who is not looking to take on a substantial amount of risk.I am originally from South Bend, Indiana, however, and my childhood best friend remains in South Bend and is close to becoming a CPA.

Also, growing up I have many childhood memories of this property.  

One of the functions of a listing agent is to get sellers to understand that no one is going to pay more for your home just because you have childhood memories there, etc. 

I have a childhood friend whose parents did just that.
