Buyers are willing to pay $$$ for additional flexible spaces that can be used as office, gym, guest home for elderly parents or adult kids, or simply as rental to help pay off the mortgage.

While people have made a lot of money on housing appreciation, and for many, this has been their entire adult investing lives that this has been a potentially lucrative strategy, this is an extreme fluke in terms of the overall sweep of housing market history, and it's not one that I want to ride out, waiting for the next crash.I am a boring person who likes multifamily. 

I wouldn't have thought of it if they were actual full adults. 

Someone has a problem, you have a solution, and you prove to them you can do what you say you can do to solve their problem.I'll give you an example: I recently bought a house from an elderly couple, the sale of which was facilitated by their adult daughter.

My main concern for not renting them separately, and only mentioning that they could rent together is that if I have a group of 10 people and I search on Airbnb, once I input 10 adults in my filters, the listings with 3 or 2 bedrooms that have the capacity of 8 people will not even show up, and I couldn't even know that place can be rented together from the description. 

I say accidental since we bought a home as a young married couple because...that's what adults do...right?
