My local (but big city) mayor & cops just busted a Golden Girls penny ante poker game, because the stakes amounted to more than $10.  

I was wondering if anyone can tell me when the REIC meet times are, and where in the west Michigan area (Grand Rapids, Muskegon) as I'm looking to connect with like minded individuals who's been in the game a while and can help me get off on the right foot.

Albeit, the total was only about $150 worth of supplies; nevertheless, this could have been a very different scenario, in that, what if it was 10k worth of Drywall, wood, fixtures and appliances; I would have conducted myself very differently.Turns out the dude is like Jesus with table saw and a pile of wood. 

Did you start with an end PI number and work backwards or what was the reasoning behind the seemingly thoughtfully considered game plan?

If you're not bringing money (or very little as you say), what other services and/or experience do you bring to the table?

(Although, our duplex more than covers the loss, this property was a means for us improving our financial situation and allowed us to get into the investment game).
