She's got two kids (one who is on the spectrum) and for them to sell and move to a rental while they try to buy is insane.My original thoughts were just buy a place for them, then sell it at a slight premium, but after closing costs thats probably a lose / lose.

The government is getting rid of the heavily subsidized Prefered Risk Policies (PRP) these are policies that were issued in X, X500, B or C flood zones, and the government historically has heavily subsidized these policies making the premium more favorable for the smart few that bought these policies.
