@Ben BreunerAs others have mentioned - there are unique tax filing requirements for those who live abroad.If you have more than $10,000 in a bank account held in Germany or any other foreign country - this will require a filing requirement.You may get an automatic extension till June 15 to file your tax return.You may get tax credits for any taxes you pay to Germany.There may be a partnership tax return requirement depending on how the rental properties are held.
