We own a mortgage company and, in addition to the traditional Conventional, FHA, VA, etc lending, we do a lot ton of fix-n-flip and rental loans.

The inspectors and us are not buddies, were not "bro's" hanging out shooting the breeze, we have work to do and no time to sit n chit chat.

The only way I really see this working is if a builder is distressed and needs to move inventory and can't afford to hold the property until he can sell it at market.You may want to look at fix-n-flip properties or  buy and hold rentals for cash flow.

Yes, I've read some web reports about the Raleigh city council vacillating over what rules to impose on airbnb and STR in general.https://www.newsobserver.com/n...It seems they've not been enforcing any of their decisions, as a quick scan at airbnb's site shows lots of whole house / apartment rentals in the metro area.Even so, we'll keep our options open and may need to expand our search outside of the Raleigh city limits.
