However, the co-op association isn't allowing move-in's at this time due to the Coronavirus.I know this is new territory, but would it be reasonable to ask to defer the closing until I'm allowed to move in?

I think that there is confusion on the part of some people on the difference between a moratorium on evictions and a deferment, waiver, or moratorium on contractual obligations like rent.

@Anthony Liguori I personally think we will see a spike in inventory post rona... from the investors that were over leveraged or just making it by.....the mortgage forbearance program is crazy because they expect you to pay all the months they defer in one payment at the end... so you could see novice investors looking to dump their property.
