Personally I would take a portion and use a few lenders to do multiple rehabs and flips and then loan the other portion of that money so that way it can multiple faster

I will 2nd that -- While FNMA will hold you to 10 units financed...Commercial Portfolio lenders like small banks in WA will do a 80% LTV portfolio loan holding multiple properties cross collateralized with yields under 5.25% and no prepays or junk fees.

I'm not too concerned if there are multiple unit owners with the same problem who will be sharing that cost, but I do feel it's BS that I have to pay it.The building has known about the problem of water entering for years, which they recently solved (hopefully), but proving negligence of maintenance and repair sounds like more trouble than it's worth.
