I hope to design the units in a way that the residents obviously realize they are living in a container, but the living conditions and environment give off the feeling of living in a three star hotel.

There is a tiny house "hotel" in Portland. 

A major hotel in Vegas has removed DVDs from their rooms.   

Thanks for your response.Perhaps I could had offered to put them in a hotel in the interim, but I also read that the right plumber might have been able to use low voltage electricity to thaw the line.

We have a big multi week trip to Europe in the spring, but instead of using cash, I did some credit card churning and used existing points to pay for the flights and all the hotels.

I won't be investing in the riskiest/most supportable asset subclasses such as hotels, and tilt my portfolio the ones that have historically been more stable such as multifamily and single-family housing.

This was 2 days after the ~$1600 butt-wipe/tampon sewage clog I decided not to take out of their security deposit, and after I got them a decent hotel room for 2 nights while the clog was being fixed.

If an investor wants to buy and add a hotel to the property, they may value it at $40/ft.
