As Dave pointed out (and I appaluded his statement with a vote) clearly showed by his foreclosure rtae that the loans are not purchased with that intent.When you buy a note (and have failed to pre-arrange an agreement with the owner) you are a mortgagee.

Sometimes people are afraid to fail and because of that the come up with excuses about why they have not found a deal, such as "there are no motivated sellers near me" or "I just need to read this new book", etc.My advice: get out of the house and make offers...fail and then report your failure here on BP so you can learn from it.

The landlord will have the burden to prove that your tenancy was changed for reasons other than your having exercised your rights (M.G.L. c. 186, § 18).â€â€œThe Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court ruled that when a landlord fails to maintain a dwelling in habitable condition, a tenant may properly withhold a portion of the rent from the date the landlord has notice of this breach of warrant of habit-ability.

It's quite obvious to me that the government used the bank bailout to either control the banking industry or the banking industry used the government to pilfer the taxpayer (same thing).Capitalism didn't fail us - we failed capitalism by not allowing it to work.
