M with the use of a good management company it does not really matter where it is as long as it suits your needs and they have the proper business to deal with those apartments.

That being the case you are happy to allow them out of the lease so they can find a place more suited to them.

:)  From what I remember, with an LLC, they can still come after your personal property, should you ever find yourself in a law suit.

Meant to respond to a suit brought in the personal name of a person who owns the llc, trust, etc. in you case, it includes your other holding entities.That being said, it is still good practice to add all entities involved in you asset protection structure on the policy.
