The house sits on about 1 1/2 acres and has an incredible view of a beautiful golf course hole.

It's in a quiet neighborhood in Katy, and the neighbors seem nice, but I'm just a little paranoid.

If I buy 6 more rentals (available loans I have currently after selling some off) and sit on the properties for say 7-10  years, I project between principal pay down and cash flow after increasing rents over that decade will be $1,500 a month combined per each of those 6 properties...9K a month just for THOSE new purchases.

I am a one of those inspired newbies sitting here wondering where in the world I should begin.

Sitting on a little cash + a HELOC of $115K. 

I'm trying to leverage the equity in my house because it "sits" there.

NOW TO THE POINT, This house is entirely WOOD FRAME and was built in the 50’s (its been remodeled tho, its not in bad shape) Everyone around here seem to be staying away from wood frame, is that the case everywhere?

Don’t want to buy if I have to sit on it for a bunch of years.
