I understand the test requires 4 years under a licensed contractor— my question for contractors or people that know this field is: Can I get the same credentials working for different trades in the span of 4 years as working for a general contractor for 4 years?

And soon thereafter,m you'll be ready to roll.  

I really want to expand to further test the model, but want to do it in a way that makes legal and logistical sense. 

In a somewhat hasty maneuver I finished my schooling and passed my test for my brokers license in March of 19’.

You have to roll with problems and become a problem solverThe two worst problems I have run into was a boiler go out in the middle of winter in Illinois and had to put the residents up in a hotel for a week.  

I’m taking the test next week I just wanted to know I keep getting 70’s, last score 79 on the practice tests from the ce shop course practice test.

Short answer: Q1: Yes, Q2: test it. 

That could be plastic ( Omni roll, snow country etc).
