If you want to do it to be green or something, but not because you hope other people might see it as value.If 1) you buy the panels, and 2) you find a buyer in the future that places some value in them, then you might get a slight return...maybe....

I'm not familiar with much of CA, but I'd say if it's anywhere near  #David Greene in San Fran, I'd ask him who he would recommend.

Not a fan of green landlords trying to make it work OOS. 

If those items give you a green light, then I would spend time and money performing formal due diligence on the property.

That being said, David Greene has an awesome analogy about driving down the road and your engine begins to smoke.

I am still pretty green in the RE space and am looking to hopefully team up with some individuals in order to learn different strategies and maybe even JV on some things either in state or out of state.
